Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

Service description

SectorBulletin is a UK government consultation monitoring and briefing service. We track GOV.UK consultations, filter them by sector and segment, and deliver weekly member-ready bulletins with member impact analysis, talking points, and deadline alerts.

This is an independent monitoring service. We are not affiliated with the UK Government, GOV.UK, or any government department. We provide links to official consultation sources and summarise consultation content to help trade bodies and membership organisations track relevant policy developments.

Pilot service

The 4-week pilot is a paid service (£500 one-off). The pilot includes done-for-you setup, configuration of your watchlists and segments based on your brief, 4 weekly bulletins, closing-soon alerts, and an action calendar.

The exact scope (sectors, segments, watchlist keywords, exclusions) is agreed during the onboarding call after you submit a pilot request. We will propose 2–3 watchlist/segment configurations based on your brief and refine these with you before delivery starts.

The £500 pilot fee is credited against the first month's subscription if you continue with the service.

Information provided is not legal advice

SectorBulletin provides consultation monitoring and briefing summaries. The information we provide is not legal, financial, or professional advice. You remain responsible for:

  • Reviewing official consultation documents
  • Assessing relevance and impact to your members
  • Deciding whether and how to respond to consultations
  • Drafting and submitting consultation responses
  • Seeking appropriate professional advice where needed

All bulletins include links to the official GOV.UK consultation pages. You should always verify details and deadlines on the official sources before taking action.

Service delivery and availability

We aim to deliver weekly bulletins on the agreed schedule and send closing-soon alerts at 14/7/3 days before consultation deadlines (or as configured). We aim to respond to pilot requests within 24 hours during business days.

These are best-efforts targets unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. Service timing, format, and content may be adjusted based on GOV.UK publication schedules, system availability, and operational factors.

We do not guarantee that every relevant consultation will be captured, or that all information will be error-free. You should use our service as a monitoring aid, not as your sole source of policy intelligence.

Client responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information during onboarding to help us configure your service
  • Reviewing bulletins and alerts when delivered
  • Verifying consultation details and deadlines on official sources
  • Making your own decisions about consultation responses and member communications
  • Complying with any consultation response requirements set by government bodies

Pricing and service changes

Current pricing is shown on our website. Pricing and service scope may change for new customers or upon renewal. We will notify existing customers of any material changes to pricing or service terms that affect them.

The pilot fee (£500 for 4 weeks) and monthly subscription prices are stated on the pricing page. Additional customisation or support may be subject to separate agreement.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. The pilot fee is non-refundable once the pilot has started, but is credited against month 1 if you continue.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service if payment is not received, if you breach these terms, or for other legitimate operational reasons.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SectorBulletin's liability for any claims arising from the service is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim (or the pilot fee if you are still on a pilot).

We are not liable for:

  • Missed consultation deadlines
  • Incomplete or inaccurate information in bulletins
  • Decisions made based on information in our bulletins
  • Indirect, consequential, or special damages
  • Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

This is a first-pass limitation of liability clause. For clarity and enforceability, we recommend consulting a legal professional to review these terms before relying on them in any dispute.

Intellectual property

The SectorBulletin service, bulletins, analysis, and format are our intellectual property. You may use the bulletins internally and forward them to your members as part of your normal member communications. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute our bulletins outside your organisation without permission.

Official GOV.UK consultation content is subject to Open Government Licence terms. Our summaries and analysis are provided to help you understand and share that content with your members.

Data protection

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect and process information needed to deliver the service and respond to enquiries.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active customers of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
